The Outcome team is excited to welcome Kelley Shepherd – who joins us as Outcome’s Head of Investments. Kelley will structure investments for both Outcome and our clients, allocate the firm’s own capital, as well as helping drive business development efforts.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to join Outcome. Jim, Nora, and Ali have built a world-class platform for building and managing Income Share Agreement (ISA) programs. Equally importantly – they bring a deep commitment to impact and a clear focus on using ISAs to support both students and educators.”
Kelley joins Outcome after a decade at Cambridge Associates, where he served as an Investment Director in the firm’s Sustainable and Impact Investing Group. There, he was responsible for managing endowment portfolios of between $50 million and $8 billion in investible assets, allocated across public and private markets and incorporating sustainability, diversity, and other impact criteria. He also evaluated a range of impact-focused credit deals, including multiple pools of income share agreements. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Kelley earned a master’s degree in Christian Ethics from Yale Divinity School and a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Virginia. Between his undergraduate and graduate studies, Kelley spent time as a classroom teacher and a college minister.
Kelley works out of Arlington, Virginia. When he’s not in the virtual office – you’ll likely find him chasing trout somewhere, trying to perfect his sauce-work in the kitchen, or hanging out with his wife and two kids.
